The Garden Room

The Garden Room was a welcome addition to Maison Talbooth during the re-investment programme in 2007/8 and somehow seems to balance out this imposing house. Light and airy with a high vaulted roof and huge windows, the Garden Room has far reaching views over the Dedham Vale towards Stratford St Mary and Dedham; you are really in the heart of ‘Constable Country’ with the same landscape that inspired the artist John Constable in the 1700’s. The room has a variety of uses from breakfast room for residents, light lunches for hotel guests and treatment room visitors to the prefect dining experience for House Party guests. It can even be used for dancing when the hotel is taken over for exclusive use. Already within one month of opening, the Garden Room has been used for an evening wedding reception with a barbeque cooked by the hotels’ chefs Rachael and Jo, a wedding eve celebration for the bride and her family and friends and several House Parties.
