Milsom Hotels WINS National Award.
26 June 2008: Paul Milsom, managing director of Milsom Hotels, based in Dedham, was presented with one of the 2008 British Hospitality Association awards at the BHA annual luncheon held at Grosvenor House, London yesterday when the group won the tourism category award, sponsored by AA Hotel Services.
Now in its second generation, Milsom's has expanded and developed within its area, spending millions of pounds in constant refurbishment, improvement and expansion.
Announcing the award at the annual lunch, attended by over 900 members and guests, Bob Cotton, BHA's chief executive said that the Milsom philosophy was 'Never stop Investing' which was amply reflected in the group's recent £1.5m re-invigoration of Maison Talbooth and £4.5m spent on converting Kesgrave Hall into a stylish bar brasserie with 15 bedrooms.
"Over the years, the company has built up a deserved reputation as a highly successful hotel and restaurant that crosses many different markets - from top end to popular. In all, Milsoms serves 7,000 meals a week in its five outlets and takes huge pride in the fact that over 70 of its 300-plus staff have been with the company for more than five years."
The BHA introduced these awards in order to honour individuals or organisations for their contribution to the tourism and hospitality industry during the year.
