We have over 200 cyclists arriving late afternoon at The Pier in Harwich on Tuesday, 23rd June.
They are taking part in a 200km charity ride ‘Big Ride for Africa’, raising funds for the Lessons for Life Foundation which helps train teachers and make sure the classroom is a safe and rewarding place to be.
The ride starts in Chigwell going through Essex countryside before arriving at The Pier in Harwich for a well-deserved rest, shower, massage (if required) and dinner before catching the overnight boat from Harwich to The Hook ofHolland before arriving in Amsterdam, their final destination.
Five teams are cycling from various parts of Europe to arrive in Amsterdam, with the aim being to raise £5 million pounds by 2017 to enable a further 50,000 children to be educated.
We wish all cyclists the best of luck!
