We are delighted to announce that Aaron Skerritt, sous chef at Le Talbooth restaurant won the title ‘Chef of the Year’ in the Essex Food and Drink Awards 2012.
Aaron has worked hard to achieve this title and produced an outstanding three course dinner using locally sourced produce with a budget.
Here is what the judges were looking for ‘We are looking for a professional chef who is at the top of his/her game, someone who inspires their peers. A chef who has the passion and vision to create new dishes and who isn’t frightened to push boundaries. Our judges will be looking for someone who can demonstrate precision in preparation, be inventive in presentation and produce an outstanding taste using the “Best of Essex” ingredients with great provenances’.
