For the first time our fabulous riverside cottage, Idle Waters, lies ‘idle’. With no summer weddings or parties able to take place at Le Talbooth this year, it means the cottage is available for week-long hire during July and August.
Idle Waters occupies a special place beside the River Stour in the Dedham Vale AONB; recently mentioned in the Telegraph as one of the top six places for a ‘cheeky weekend’ once lockdown is over. The area offers a plethora of things to do and see, such as walking, cycling, canoeing and paddle boarding from the doorstep or riverbank, we can arrange day or weekly hire (including safety equipment). The Suffolk and Essex coasts are just a short drive away, waiting to be discovered.
On top of this of course there’s no need to cook; there is every excuse to enjoy lunch and dinner on the riverside terrace at Le Talbooth, or in the covered gardens at Milsoms.
The cottage itself has everything you need for a stay with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and superb sitting room with log burner. The gardens are right on the River Stour, and with this fabulous weather due to continue, there’s nowhere better to stay!
Idle Waters is now available for weekly hire, starting from Friday 10th July, at a cost of £2,000 for the week. In 2021, the cottage is booked throughout the summer so now is the time to enjoy a ‘cheeky week’ in the Dedham Vale!
