Forty five cyclists were blessed with sunshine yesterday as they took part in the Milsom Hotels Charity Bike ride to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The bike ride started at milsoms in Dedham and took in either a twenty or thirty mile route to Ramsey near Harwich and back to Dedham via ‘Route 51’ of the Essex Cycle Routes. The team finished at Maison Talbooth for a well-deserved barbecue.

The event was due to run in October, but was cancelled last minute due to adverse weather conditions. A good move as yesterday was perfect for both organisers and cyclists!

Paul Milsom said ‘we were delighted to organise such a fantastic cycle event for such a special charity. We have raised in excess of £3,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a fantastic charity which does so much both nationally and locally’

We plan to run another charity bike ride in 2014, so if you’re interested do email Sue on [email protected] and we’ll add you to the list and keep you in the loop with the arrangements!
