In the spirit of John Buchan’s John MacNab, the winner of this ‘MacNab’ prize will spend two days in the beautiful hills of the Milton of Drimmie and Cloquhat Estates in Perthshire, in pursuit of ‘fur and fin’. In whichever order the winner chooses, the challenge is firstly to stalk and shoot a fallow or roe buck, guided and supported by the Milton of Drimmie’s stalker. Thereafter, it will be a short journey to a hill loch to catch a trout before heading down into the glen to the Rivers Ardle, Ericht or Blackwater to catch a salmon. All this to take place in one day. Whether or not the winner is successful in achieving his/her MacNab, the prize also includes an additional day’s salmon fishing on the Cloquhat Estate’s banks of the Blackwater and Ericht rivers.
