With overnight stays set to become available again from Monday, 17th May, 2021 , we’re getting prepared to start taking bookings for our hotels from early April.

Telephone bookings will open on Tuesday, 6th April, for our stunning selection of luxury hotels in Essex and Suffolk, while online bookings are available now.

From the inspiring settings of Constable Country to the unique appeal of the Essex coast, we have a range of luxury hotels. Discover the beautiful Dedham setting of Maison Talbooth and Milsoms, explore the old coastal town of Harwich when staying at The Pier, or enjoy the Suffolk Coast and countryside surrounding Milsoms Kesgrave Hall.

Maison Talbooth

Maison Talbooth is a 4 AA Red Star hotel looking out across the Dedham Vale.

With only 12 bedrooms, this luxurious hotel has an exclusive and relaxed feel to it. The team will be there, but in a more discreet way, and of course, the house will be kept spotlessly clean at all times.

Guests can enjoy the secluded heated outdoor pool and tennis court, or unwind on the terrace looking out across the lush green lawns, while lunch and dinner can be taken at nearby Le Talbooth – our riverside restaurant with 3 AA rosettes – or the more informal Milsoms, which is open all day, every day.

Milsoms

It’s easy to book and stay at our Milsoms hotel. The 15 bedrooms are quiet and relaxed with super comfy beds and lovely design features. The hotel has recently been awarded 4 stars by the AA.

Established in 2001, guests are able to enjoy the bar, restaurant, lounge and terrace – not to mention the wonderful natural surroundings. There are picturesque walks from our doorstep that take you through the Dedham Vale, while bicycle and canoe hire service is also available if you want to go a little further afield.

Enjoy fabulous al fresco dining at Milsoms any time of the day. Our terrace, which is covered by an architectural sail and fully heated, is a fantastic setting for outdoor dining.

Milsoms Kesgrave Hall

A luxurious boutique hotel and restaurant set in beautiful countryside just outside Ipswich, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall boasts 23 en-suite bedrooms with plenty of wow factor.

Opened in 2008, this charming four star Suffolk hotel has everything you need for a fabulous getaway. From bathtubs in the rooms to fabulous walk-in showers, you can be sure of a delightful and comfortable stay.

The restaurant provides a relaxed setting for drinks or dining and is open all day. There’s also a covered outdoor terrace looking out across the sweeping lawns so you can enjoy outdoor dining at any time of day. And there’s no need to worry about a dress code when enjoying a meal or drink here, whether you’re wearing a suit or muddy walking boots, you’ll fit right in.

The Pier

There are few things in life more rejuvenating than spending time at the coast, breathing in the fresh sea air and staring out across the water.

That is certainly the case at The Pier in Harwich, where the hotel’s 14 bedrooms have each been individually styled to match the seascape and take advantage of the natural light – you’ll never forget the fiery sunsets.

As well as being a delightful hotel, The Pier is also home to a 2 AA rosette redefined brasserie on the first floor of this completely modernised 1860 listed building on the Essex coast. And if you’re just looking for something to whet your whistle, then the NAVYÄRD bar and terrace, a continental-inspired bar with an enviable drinks list and gin library, is on the ground floor.

Idle Waters

In addition to our hotels, our self-catering luxury cottage set beside the River Stour in the Dedham Vale is the perfect spot for a private, secluded escape.

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is plenty to do and see, including walking, cycling, canoeing and paddle boarding from the riverbank, while the Suffolk and Essex coasts are just a short drive away.

The cottage has everything you need for a stay with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and superb sitting room with log burner, while Le Talbooth and Milsoms are just a stone’s throw away if you want to treat yourself to breakfast, lunch or dinner.
