From the first mention of the charity football match way back in October, we all knew that it would be an important and exciting event in our 2012 diary. Paul Milsom won the bid for the home team to play on the main pitch at Portman Road and his great friend Johnny Wheeler bid for the away team.

Our team consisted of our own staff and ex Ipswich Town players and managed by the one and only Mick Mills. Mick instilled the team with confidence and we went onto win ‘The Sir Bobby Robson Charity Match’ Cup with a score of 2 – 1. The winning goal was scored by Richard Muldowney, our restaurant manager at milsoms – a perfect end to a perfect day.
So many people helped to make this day special, thank you to one and all!

As well as a great result on the pitch, Milsom Hotels & Wheeler Wine Masters also raised in the region of £35,000 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and ITFC Charitable Trust.
