There was great excitement in Dedham yesterday, lots of ‘boys talk’ and appreciative murmuring emanating from the car park at Le Talbooth. And the reason why? Our friends at Bentley Essex (based in Colchester) have lent us a magnificent Bentley Mulsanne for the summer which will be used to transport our guests from Maison Talbooth to Le Talbooth whether its for lunch, dinner or a special occasion such as a wedding.
Here are a few interesting facts and figures about the car:
Did you know: it takes 10 feet of thread to hand stitch the steering wheel, it takes 399 hours to build one Mulsanne, every piece of wood comes from the same tree (we think its Walnut), it takes 12 hours to sand and polish the paintwork. We could go on so here is one last fact – the name Mulsanne is derived from Bentleys famous racing history and the ‘Mulsanne Straight’ is the stretch of the Le Mans race course where cars reach their highest speeds.
We are putting together a special offer for September which will involve the Mulsanne, so if cars are ‘your thing’ and the idea of being chauffeur driven in a Bentley appeals, get in touch and we’ll send you the information.
