Guests are reminded that this is a 16th century listed building and the owners have conformed to all necessary requirements in the Disability and Discrimination Act 1995 within planning regulations to make the accessibility as best we can. The main restaurant (The River Room) is on the ground floor but guests booking our private dining room (The Weavers Room) should be aware that it is only accessible by stairs. However, The River Room is available for private parties of 40 or more.

Talbooth House & Spa

Guests are reminded that this is a Victorian building, there are no designated disabled bedrooms but there are five bedrooms on the ground floor, all five are spacious with walk in showers. Help can be given if accessibility is required.

Access to the hotel is along a specially designed ramp through the Garden Room. The main entrance to the hotel has five steep steps (with handrail)

There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

The Pier at Harwich

Guests are reminded that The Pier at Harwich is a listed building but the owners have conformed to all necessary requirements of the
Disability and Discrimination Act 1995 within planning regulations to ensure accessibility.

  • Disabled parking bay
  • Access via a ramp at the rear of the building
  • NAVYARD Bar & Terrace and The Saloon
  • The Pier restaurant is on the first floor and can be accessed via the lift
  • All the seven bedrooms in The Pier are on the second floors and can be accessed by a lift.
  • The Angel (adjacent to the main building) has six bedrooms on the first floor and one on the ground floor which does not conform fully
  • Disabled toilets are on the ground floor of The Pier and The Angel
