General

Where are your hotels and restaurants located?

Maison Talbooth (hotel), Le Talbooth (restaurant and marquee) and Milsoms (hotel, bar and restaurant) are located in Dedham, on the Suffolk and Essex border. Kesgrave Hall (hotel, bar, restaurant and event venue) is located in Kesgrave, Ipswich. The Pier (restaurant, bar and hotel) is located on the coast in Harwich, Essex.

Do your properties have free and easy parking?

Yes we do and it’s always free.

Do your properties have disabled access?

Yes they do, with disabled parking and ground-floor access to restaurants and hotels. Please view our accessibility information here.

Do you have a policy on children?

Yes, please bring them as they’re more than welcome. The Harbourside Restaurant (Harwich) and Le Talbooth Restaurant (Dedham) are more suited to children with a double-digit age, whereas all our other locations are perfect for everyone, young and old.

Do you have a policy on dogs?

We welcome dogs in our hotels and all our locations have outside (mostly heated) and undercover dining. We’ll provide drinking bowls of course. We do charge a supplement for an extra deep clean if you’re staying with your companion. Please ask our reception teams for information.

Do you have free wifi?

Of course! There is no other kind!

Restaurants

What type of food do you serve?

The food across the Milsom Hotels group varies depending on the location, season and time of day. Freshly-caught fish, Dedham Vale beef and locally-sourced seasonal vegetables are mainstays of our menus, with a wide variety of extremely flavoursome and globally-inspired dishes from Asian duck tacos to English veal T-bone with truffled linguine, broad beans and St George mushroom. What are the opening times of your restaurants?

We have restaurants open in every location, open all day, seven days a week, from breakfast to dinner. Please visit our opening times page or call our locations directly for further information.

Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?

Yes of course. All of our menus include vegetarian options and we’re very happy to cater for gluten-free and other dietary needs. A full list of allergens, including nuts, is available.

Can I book a table?

Please do book at Le Talbooth riverside restaurant (Dedham) and The Harbourside restaurant (The Pier at Harwich). All our other restaurants operate a non-booking policy and are open all day, every day, with indoor and outside dining.

Can I drop in and have a drink at the bars?

Yes. By all means. We have bars at Kesgrave Hall (Ipswich), Milsoms (Dedham) and The Pier (Harwich) and you’re more than welcome to drop in at any time.

Can I book for exclusive use or private dining?

Yes you can. Please call any of our properties who will be able to plan this with you. We have perfect private dining spaces for eight, 10, 12, 16, 24, 32, 50 all the way up to 300 guests! We also offer exclusive use across our properties for house parties, weddings, celebrations and corporate events.

How do I book?

Book online at any of hotels directly from their page. See the navigation above or call any of our properties who can take your booking and help plan your stay.

Do you have family rooms?

Our hotels are well equipped to accommodate families and larger groups. We have a number of family-size rooms, adjoining rooms and many rooms that can be twinned or have additional beds supplied. Please call our reception teams with any requests.

What’s the price of a Milsom hotel?

Our competitive rates vary dependent on room type, season, weekend or weekday and whether you incorporate additional extras. Please view our rates online via the Accommodation pages above. We aim to offer the best rate available at all times.

Do you have Sky TV?

Yes. Every room has Sky In-Room, giving you all the channels and all in HD.

What’s included in the room?

All you would expect, including robes, towels, bathroom products, magazines, telephone, music, alarm, television, Sky In-Room (giving you all channels, in HD), complimentary coffee and tea, complimentary soft-drink mini-bar and treats, room service, turndown service, daily clean and restock!

Can I choose a room?

By all means, subject to availability. If you have a preference in terms of location within the hotel or a specific room – if it’s available – it’s yours. And if it’s not, we’ll find a great alternative for you.

What are your check in and check out times?

Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at 11am for guests staying at any of our properties.
