The Gin Library offers more than 100 gins across four shelves, along with our craft, cask and artisan beers, ales and a Nordic-inspired small-plate bar menu, making the NAVYÄRD bar and terrace ‘the’ go-to destination for our neighbours, friends and welcomed guests.

Situated on the deck of Ha’penny Pier, one of the oldest Pier’s in Britain, built in 1853. Pick up light bites to enjoy when exploring Harwich, pop in when passing by, or make an evening enjoying the sunset with pizza, pasta and paninis ‘on the Deck’.

The Saloon is a dedicated private dining room located in The Pier, looking out over the harbour and Ha’penny Pier.

Book this exclusive space for you and your guests and you’ll be able to celebrate in style. Ideal for birthday parties, anniversaries, celebrations and corporate events, The Saloon can seat up to 24 people.

Private lounge, terrace and dining space

The Angel

Exactly half of our hotel rooms sit within our annexed part of the hotel, that we refer to as The Angel.

Named after the pub that used to exist within the building, The Angel offers a private lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, a long table for private dinners, and its’ own outdoor terrace, to be enjoyed exclusively by hotel guests during their stay, subject to availability.

The Angel also houses our best room in the hotel, our Mayflower Suite with large windows facing the quay, looking out towards the Stour & Orwell estuaries.

For parties and events, The Angel can be booked exclusively with an excellent value starting package.

We also occasionally host events in the lounge such as local sailing events, wreath making workshops at Christmas or business meetings
