It’s easy to book and stay at our Milsoms hotel. The 15 bedrooms are quiet and relaxed with super comfy beds and lovely design features and has recently been awarded 4 stars by the AA.
We were established in 2001 and whilst staying with us, you’ll be able to enjoy our bar, restaurant, lounge and terrace. We’re surrounded by picturesque walks through Dedham Vale and we have a bicycle and canoe hire service – just let us know on arrival and we’ll organise the rest. Round the corner is our Le Talbooth restaurant with 3 AA rosettes and riverside dining every day of the week.

We’ve two private dining spaces seating from eight to 24 guests. The larger of our private dining spaces (known as Mr G’s) has a dedicated kitchen and double doors that open out to a private terrace garden.
Private dining means you get to choose the food and wine that you enjoy whilst being served at your own pace by our dedicated team.
Business meetings that are facilitated with excellent service are more likely to deliver effective outcomes.
At Milsoms, (Dedham, Colchester) we have two excellent private meeting spaces. The Library, on the ground floor, has easy access just off the main lounge with a capacity of up to 14 people, while Mr G’s has a capacity of up to 24 people, its own break out garden, its own facilities and provides even more privacy and a larger space than The Library.

Turn off M25 at Brentwood onto A12. Continue on A12 towards Ipswich, bypassing Colchester. Take the left exit signposted “Stratford St Mary, Dedham and Higham. Turn right at bottom of hill to Dedham, over bridge and down hill. Take the first left where road widens into lay-by.
A12 – Having passed sign to East Bergholt, continue down hill and take left exit to Stratford St Mary and Dedham. Then take the next right turn to Stratford St Mary. Continue past Le Talbooth Restaurant; take the next left to Dedham, over the bridge, and down hill. Take the first left where road widens into lay-by.
From Colchester High Street, continue onto East Hill and over the mini roundabout to East Street before turning left at the next mini roundabout onto Ipswich Road. At the next roundabout, take the first exit, then the second exit onto the A1232, signposted Harwich A120. Continue along this road until merging onto the A12, signposted Ipswich. After 2.5 miles, branch left then merge onto Ipswich Road. In half a mile, bear right onto Gun Hill, and then bear right onto Stratford Road before turning right for Dedham.
