History
Le Talbooth restaurant was discovered by the late Gerald Milsom in 1952 when it was just a simple tearoom with a superb location by the river Stour. The restaurants hotel sister Maison Talbooth is a minute away by courtesy car. milsoms, a bar/brasserie with fifteen stylish bedrooms is always busy and vibrant. The Pier has two restaurants - the Harbourside on the first floor specialising in seafood and the Ha'penny Pier with a more relaxed, contemporary brasserie style, The Pier also has 14 bedrooms many with superb views overlooking the harbour and the twin estuaries of the Stour and Orwell.
