The Hangar was buzzing on Thursday 26th September when Milsoms Kesgrave Hall held a Fashion Show to raise funds for charity.
Supported by two local independent retailers – Annabelle from Colchester and ANNA from Woodbridge – guests were wowed on the catwalk with a selection of their Autumn and Winter collections alongside retail therapy (and a few make-up tricks) from Bobbi Brown, Tiptree and Loggique candles. The show was supported by more than 200 people from across the area who raised £4,223.60 for the GeeWizz Charitable Foundation.
GeeWizz is a Suffolk-based charity which focusses in helping change the lives of many children across the county, who require specialist equipment and other healthcare provisions. They predominantly support those living with life – threatening conditions, a disability or cancer. This year’s show will give invaluable support to The Bridge School, Ipswich, where 150+ highly vulnerable children with special educational needs and disabilities attend. On behalf of Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, GeeWizz will be purchasing a wonderful magic sensory carpet, designed to enhance the children and young adults’ sensory development and educational progress.

Geraldine Milsom, director of Milsom Hotels, said: “We are delighted to be supporting GeeWizz again this year, it is a wonderful charity and we very much enjoy fundraising for them. We are very pleased to hear the money raised from the Fashion Show at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall will be supporting The Bridge School, Ipswich with a sensory carpet and are looking forward to visiting and seeing it in situ.”
GeeWizz was founded in 2015 by Gina Long MBE. It was set up to help support young adults living with a life-threatening condition or disability, as well as those who have been affected by cancer. GeeWizz is also extremely passionate supporting educational research into cancer treatment and care, they give an annual donation to Sarcoma UK, a charity which is close to their hearts.
