Essex moved into ‘Tier Two’ last weekend which means only members of one household are able to dine inside at Le Talbooth, Milsoms in Dedham and The Pier at Harwich –the ‘Rule of Six’ still applies outside and for this reason, we’ve upgraded our Winter Terraces in Dedham.
But we have had word from Number 10 (well, not personally but through the government channels), that if you are conducting a business meeting, guests are still able to meet over a working lunch or dinner without the restriction of the single household rule.
While we have worked hard to make our terraces fun and enjoyable; they are maybe not the best places to conduct the business of the day.
Don’t forget, we do have private dining rooms at all our restaurants that can be booked, so if you need a room away from others then get in touch – the telephone numbers are below.
And it’s also worth mentioning Christmas; Le Talbooth is now taking bookings for December and you’ll find traditional roast turkey (carved from the silver trolley) on the menu every day as well as Christmas pudding of course! While The Pier offers a three course Christmas lunch (or dinner) for £25 per person all through December.
So, come in out of the cold, we look forward to welcoming you soon.

PS: This only applies to our Essex restaurants, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall in Suffolk is operating the Rule of Six inside and out.
