Harwich was recently included in The Times article ‘The 6 seaside towns everyone’s going to be talking about this summer’.
The article features some stalwarts of the English holiday scene such as Bournemouth in Dorset and Fistral in Cornwall; alongside some relatively undiscovered gems that have come into their own since the pandemic and the subsequent rise in staycation tourism.
Harwich, coming in at number 6, is described as a ‘pretty port town [with] many surprises’, full of history, charming 17th-century houses, and the proximity to nature reserves has earnt it ‘Captain Pugwash charm’ status!
