We have a date! The Pier is delighted to announce that they will re-open on Thursday 9th July at 12 noon
The Pier team are busy getting everything ready for the re-opening and we are of course, adhering to the strict Government guidelines and putting all the safety measures in place which you can see here.
So, if like us you have missed popping down to Harwich for a delicious Lobster Thermidor or locally dressed Harwich crab then the wait is nearly over and it will soon be time to head to the coast.
We have made a couple of changes when we first open; firstly, by bringing last orders forward by half an hour to 9.00 pm Tuesday to Thursday (9.30 pm on Friday and Saturdays). Sunday evenings is again slightly earlier at 8.00pm.
The NAVYÄRD bar will close at 10.00 pm from Tuesday to Thursday, 10.30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 8.00 pm on Sundays.
We will not be serving Afternoon Tea when we first re-open, don’t worry Penelope’s delicious teas will be back soon as we know she has quite a following!
And also, for the first couple of months, we have decided to close The Pier (restaurant and hotel) on Mondays.
All the above are temporary changes and hopefully we’ll be back to our normal hours within a few months, we are sure you will appreciate the reasons for doing this.
As usual, you can either book a table in the restaurant or simply turn up; if it is the latter, we will let you know if the restaurant is full but we’re open all day so we don’t envisage this being be a problem.
If you want to book a table (or the hotel), give The Pier a call on 01255 241212 from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, alternatively you can book online
It just leaves us to say, The Pier Team can’t wait to welcome you all back and here’s to warm summer evenings on the balcony and wonderful Harwich sunsets!
