Le Talbooth Restaurant
Le Talbooth riverside restaurant is all about great food, great service and the great location on the banks of the River Stour. We’re certain you’ll love it and want to return with anyone who did not join you on your first visit.
The food is carefully designed, meticulously prepared and exquisitely presented. And then there’s the taste. Taste is never easy to communicate in words so we thought we would talk you through a few menu choices…
Citrus cured hand dived scallops with dill gremolata, keta caviar and pickled ginger, or Thetford Forest venison carpaccio, mustard croquette, golden beetroot and apple to start.
Poached baby monkfish tail in nori seaweed watercress, saffron potatoes and gambas or fillet of dry aged Dedham Vale beef rossini, rosti potato, spinach and Madeira jus for your main course, and maybe the Madagascan 64% chocolate and black cherry millionaire, pistachio, honeycomb or apple and gooseberry soufflé with vanilla milk ice-cream for dessert, followed by coffee and hand-made chocolates, or perhaps the 2010 Clos Dady, Sauternes French dessert wine to complete your meal.
(2:30pm and 9:00pm are the times for last orders)
Dress guidance at Le Talbooth: We are often asked about the dress code in the restaurant. Many of our guests dress up for a visit to Le Talbooth and as such feel uncomfortable when fellow diners are not suitable attired. For this reason we ask that our guests adhere to a ‘smart casual’ dress code and not arrive in ‘short shorts’ and flip flops. Thank you.
